Time Barring Announcement

"The Endowment Compensation Centre (ECC) has raised concerns over the lega lity of 'time barring' endowment complaints.

Having consulted with their solicitors ECC have set out a legal argument questioning whether or not the 3 year rule currently allowed by the Financial Services Authority complies with established legal precedent in Scotland.

Managing Director Gerry Diamond has instructed solicitors to write to endowment providers asking them to re-examine the legality of current procedures which are limiting the ability of thousands of homeowners from making complaints thereby denying compensation that clients maybe legally entitled to". We have been at the forefront of the campaign to inform mortgage endowment holders of their rights and ECC have featured widely in the mis-selling debate.
